Hattiesburg, MS - The Area Development Partnership (ADP) hosted its monthly Business After Hours meeting at The Accelerator on Thursday May 27. The event was attended by approximately 150 ADP members, and was an excellent opportunity for professional networking. In addition to the food and fun, The Accelerator was open for tours to show off the amenities, leasable office space, and incubator laboratories offered.
“This was a fantastic event for both the ADP and The Accelerator”, said Sunny Corral, Executive Director of The Accelerator. “There has been a lot of buzz generated about The Garden and The Accelerator, and we wanted to build upon that interest by offering personal tours to our guests.”
“This unique Business After Hours provided an opportunity for ADP members to become formally introduced to The Accelerator, which is a true technology gem within our region,” said Chad Newell, President of the Area Development Partnership. “We were excited to share with members the incredible entrepreneurial growth The Accelerator provides and look forward to being a part of The Accelerator’s vibrant future as it aids in stimulating the regional economy through job creation and technology advancement.”
Tours of the facility were provided by The Accelerator’s entrepreneurial tenants, and demonstrated to guests the tremendous opportunity the facility offers to Southern Miss and the greater Mississippi region. The Accelerator is part of the university’s emphasis on stimulating economic growth through entrepreneurism.
The public grand opening date is to be announced for The Accelerator. In the meantime, detailed information regarding the facility can be found on The Accelerator’s website.
